Mission Driven Learning: ASD’s Change-maker Education Story in Cultivating Contributors

What is a school if not the living example of its mission? In this presentation/workshop, Laurence Myers (K-12 Service Learning Coordinator) shares the story of the Change-maker Education Program at the American School of Dubai in its quest to cultivate contributors “in a rapidly changing world”. The session will delve into the history and development of the Change-maker Education program (including our award winning Edible Education program), its framework and structures, and the ever-evolving approach to cultivating global citizens and a school-wide sustainability ethos. Participants will also have the chance to engage with the systems Iceberg in analysing ASD’s recent MS Sustainability Summit (as a case study).
